Telehealth Visit

Telehealth-Virtual Visit
As long as you have a smart phone, tablet or computer, we can arrange connection via FaceTime, Zoom, or Skype, I am able to see you in your own environment and assess your alignment or body movement. I would be able to assess you where you are and what your body may need right now:

1. You can still receive your hands on, structural work. I can show you how you can use your own hands or small tools like therapy balls or foam roller for self- releases. In addition, I would guide you how to connect with your own healing energies using your breath and your awareness to help to intergrade the body, by releasing tension and pain.

2. When the pain is released or minimize, we can progress with mobility exercises, myofascial stretches and connecting them with breath and awareness. Those practices are great to follow up to enhance your body mobility and flexibility when your pain is greatly diminished.

3. We can progress to postural re-education and stabilization exercises, when your body is ready for it. The timing is very important. The biggest problem that I see with people who are still experiencing pain, is they are doing TOO MUCH or start strength exercises TOO SOON. When you have pain that involved the restrictions within fascia system and you start doing your strength exercises even like core and abdominal exercise (Pilates), you may create more pain for yourself. WHY: Because you are strengthening the restrictions. When your body is NOT FREE from the restrictions and producing pain, strength exercises in most cases will produce more pain.

4. Many people are struggling with emotional and mental challenges. We are entering very unknown times to all of us, and it is normal to feel anxious and fearful about our and our loved one’s health, well-being and future. Those feelings of isolation, fear and anxiety can only add to fascial tension and pain I can help you with guided meditation to feel deeper under those stressful emotions to enter the space within yourself where peace and calm reside.

I feel happy that during these times of physical isolation, I can still be of help and service to others if you are open and willing to try something new. Many insurance companies are covering those Telehealth sessions, the same as in-office visit.

We not having any MFR PT in-person visits at least until April 30 as per “Stay in home” Covid 19 recommendations in the State of Illinois, and will adhere to best practices for future MFR PT in-person visits.

In the meantime, we have started seeing clients via Telehealth - see Testimonials on our Web Site (https://www.whl-t.com/testimonials.html) for some very positive client comments! Telehealth can be an alternative approach to therapy for some clients with very difficult mobility issues as well. We anticipate Telehealth-Virtual visits to become a permanent part of Wholiistic Therapeutics ongoing practice.
